Heavy Recovery • I-24 Corridor
When it’s down on I-24,we’re already close.
Four yards on the corridor, one at the foot of the Monteagle grade. Rotator recovery, heavy towing and mobile repair, 24 hours a day, run by WreckMaster-certified operators who work this stretch of road every week.
The Mountain
Monteagle is the reason
we keep four yards.
The I-24 climb over Monteagle Mountain is one of the most demanding grades in the Southeast. Trucks come off it hot, loads shift, and the runaway ramps do their job. Getting a rig out of arrester gravel on a live grade is not a standard tow, and distance to the scene decides how the whole call goes.
Four miles of descent and the runaway ramps that catch what the brakes cannot. Ramp recoveries are their own discipline and we run this stretch constantly.
Our Pelham yard sits at the foot of the mountain, which is why we reach the grade before an operator dispatched from another county has cleared their lot.
Coffee and Franklin County coverage from two more yards, so a call north of the mountain does not wait on a truck coming over it.

What We Run
Heavy work, done once.
A rotator call needs a rotator truck, a certified operator and the insurance behind the load. Everything below runs out of our own yards with our own equipment.

Not every breakdown needs a tow.
Plenty of calls end with the truck driving away instead of riding away. Ikard runs mobile repair and a full shop, so if the fix is an air line, an alternator or a tire, that is what you pay for. Dispatched corridor-wide from whichever of the four yards is closest.

Mobile Truck Repair & Diesel Mechanic
Air, electrical, charging and driveline work at the shoulder or the truck stop, so the load keeps moving instead of waiting on a shop appointment.

Semi Truck Repair
In-shop diagnostics and heavy repair when the fix is bigger than the roadside.

Trailer & Tire Service
Trailer work, brakes, lights and commercial tire service on the road or in the bay.

Every word below is a real Google review from a real customer on this corridor.
“Mark is the ABSOLUTE best driver! We don’t trust many people with the Black Momba, but he’s our Go-To EVERYTIME! We appreciate you, Mark & Ikard Towing!”
“I had a blowout while headed to work. Mark with IKard Towing was the only guy I could get on the phone before 08:00. Mark was on call and able to tow my farm truck to a local shop for repair, despite the fact that IKard wasn’t even open yet. He was very respectful, made sure I was ok, and did his best to get me a good deal, just because he wanted to! I would highly recommend IKard and/or Mark the driver to anyone.”
“My car wouldn’t start in the cold. Called them to bring me a battery after a little time of waiting at the gas station my car decided to start. Called them back to let them know and they didn’t charge me a dime even after purchasing a battery for me. Definitely will use in the future.”
“Ran into a tire issue at a weight station in Tennessee, and ikard towing came out and fixed the problem got me back rolling. Definitely recommend top tier service.”
“Tommy did a great job hauling an old family heirloom truck 110 miles for us. Got us picked up and moved the same day and price was very reasonable. And Ashley was very nice on the phone getting it all set up. These folks are aces in my book.”
“This will always be my go to for towing services. Tony and Jason are so amazing. Super nice people, prompt and caring. Jason is simply outstanding and always willing to help. Tony was so great and helpful. If you need anything make sure you call Ikard and team!! Love them!”
For Fleets & Dispatchers
We take what your drivers carry.
A dispatcher should never have to ask whether the wrecker takes a COMchek at two in the morning. Ikard runs on fleet checks, fleet cards and every major card, with the paperwork your office needs behind it.

Straight Answers
Questions we get at 3am.
How fast can you get to me on I-24?
We dispatch from whichever of our four yards is closest to you, and Pelham sits at the foot of the Monteagle grade. That is the whole reason we keep four yards on this corridor instead of one.
Do you work the Monteagle Mountain runaway ramps?
Yes. Ramp recoveries are their own discipline: the truck is usually buried in arrester gravel at an angle, on a live grade, and pulling it wrong damages the truck or the ramp. We run this stretch constantly.
Are your operators certified?
Our operators are WreckMaster certified and carry ATR rigging and heavy advanced recovery training. On a heavy call, the certification is what separates a recovery from a second accident.
What payment do you take from fleets?
COMchek, EFS, T-Chek, TCH, FleetOne, FleetCheck and TeleCheck, plus all major cards, cash, PayPal and Zelle. Dispatchers should not have to ask.
Do you tow regular cars too?
We do. The same crews that run heavy recovery run soft-strap rollbacks for daily drivers, classics and anything you would rather not hand to a stranger.
Are you available at night, weekends and holidays?
24 hours a day, seven days a week, holidays included. Breakdowns do not keep business hours and neither do we.
Down on the corridor?
Tell us the exit and what you are driving. We will tell you what is rolling and how long it will be. No call center, no runaround.
